Arsenal are reported to have sent scouts to watch midfielder Danilo Pereira during Porto's 4-2 comeback win over Rio Ave.

  • The Portugal international has been on the Gunners radar over the past year and the club could move for his services at the end of the season.

According to A Bola, the North London outfit were impressed by the player's showing on Saturday where Porto came from 2-1 down versus Rio Ave to clinch an impressive victory. Danilo netted the third goal for his side as they took the lead in the 62nd minute.

The former Benfica graduate has made immense progress since his move from Maritimo in the summer of 2015, and this has earned him a regular place in the national setup. He was part of his country's successful Euro 2016 triumph as he appeared five times on the way to the final.

Danilo currently has a £34m release clause in his contract, and this is something Arsenal would be willing to match as he is only approaching the prime of his career.
