Pep Guardiola All Set to Renew With Manchester City

Pep Guardiola All Set to Renew With Manchester City

26 January 2017 - 13:26

Pep Guardiola is all set to extend his stay at Manchester City by another two years, which means that the Spaniard is likely to be at the helm for a total of 5 years.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Guardiola was appointed as the manager of the Citizens at the beginning of the ongoing Premier League season, amidst much fanfare. However, at the midway point of his first season in charge, Guardiola has endured a mixed run of results, so far.

Guardiola’s side won their first ten games and enjoyed a four point lead over Tottenham Hotspurs, at the top of the table, going into the international break.

However, things haven’t gone to plan for City ever since. Not only have they been dislodged from the top of the table, they have let themselves down from winning positions from winning positions one more than occasion. Last weekend’s 2-2 draw at home to Spurs was the most recent occurrence of this phenomenon.

These kinds of performances has led Guardiola to admit that, he doesn’t know how long it would take before City play exactly the way he wants them to. This could also be one of the reasons as to why Guardiola is seeking more time at the Etihad stadium.
