Baggies plan late raid for Ivanovic

West Brom hopeful of signing Chelsea full-back

West Bromwich Albion are lining up a late attempt to sign Branislav Ivanovic from the clutches of Zenit St Petersburg. The Serbian international has already agreed terms with the Russian outfit after he fell out-of-favour at Chelsea.

  • Chelsea target expected to sign for Real Madrid
  • Arsenal ace can leave for just £5m this summer

  • Ivanovic, 32, is due to depart the West London giants this month with the Blues willing to allow him to leave on a free transfer - contract expires in the summer.

Zenit are said to have finalized terms over a long-term deal with Ivanovic, but according to The Birmingham Mail, Baggies could still make a last-ditch move for the right-back.

Pulis has seen his side miss out on key targets this month, and he is now keen to add more experience to his squad with Ivanovic being one of the players in his shortlist.

Ivanovic has struggled to cement a regular role at Chelsea this season with Victor Moses taking up the right-wing back position, and his future could well be decided in the coming days.
