Villarreal are currently eyeing replacements for Diego Forlan who recently completed his transfer to Atletico Madrid. Among some of the names mentioned were Julio Baptista, who is also wanted by AC Milan. It has now emerged however, that the Yellow Submarines are hoping to make Nicolas Anelka their player before the end of the summer.
It has long been rumoured that Anelka has been looking for a transfer away from Bolton and recently Arsenal were linked with a move for their old striker. Anelka only recently declared he was happy to stay at Bolton after meeting with new coach Sammy Lee during pre-season.
