Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to lodge an approach for Middlesbrough winger Gaston Ramirez in the summer.
The Uruguay international had placed a transfer request to leave Boro for Leicester City last month, but unfortunately, the Foxes could not match his £15m valuation.
Klopp's side have struggled to keep him up in the title challenge this season owing to their lack of squad depth, and it is understood that the German will seek to add a couple of wide men to his ranks with Premier League experience.
Though the need for top-class talents remains a necessity, the former BvB boss has identified Ramirez as a potential option who could add a new dimension to the Reds attack.
The 26-year-old is currently said to be unsettled at Teeside, and he is likely to seek a fresh move away from Middlesbrough, even if they beat the drop.
