Litmanen joins Fulham

Litmanen joins Fulham

01 February 2008 - 00:44

Fulham have announced the signing of Finnish legend Jari Litmanen on a short term deal until the end of the season. Fulham are desperate to bring experience into their squad as they mount a Premiership rescue challenge.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The 36-year-old former Liverpool, Barcelona and Ajax striker's latest move will see him join up again with Fulham manager Roy Hodgson, in charge of Finland during Euro 2008 qualifying.

Hodgson told Fulham's official website: "I don't think there is a need to explain the qualities that Jari possesses as a player or the obvious reasons for wanting to bring him to Fulham, and I am delighted that he has agreed to join us for the remaining months of the season."
