Sami Khedira to delay MLS move

14 March 2017 - 06:21

Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira is open to the idea of joining the MLS but only during the latter stages of his career.

  • Arsenal make surprise decision on Viktor Gyokeres
  • Arsenal to battle Napoli to sign Alexsandro Ribeiro?

  • The German international is in no rush to leave the Old Lady as he seeks to lift the Champions League title with the Serie A giants.

Khedira has been heavily tipped for a move to the United States in recent seasons despite being the first-choice midfielder in Turin.

In an interview with La Repubblica, Khedira revealed his ambition to lift the Champions League with the Old Lady having completed a similar feat with Real Madrid in the 2013-14 season.

He adds that he is just 29 years of age, and sees himself playing a key part in Germany's World Cup defence - something he wouldn't get on offer, should he leave for MLS or the Chinese Super League.

The World cup winner has got through his minor niggles over the years and appears to be in the right shape after already made 32 appearances this season.
