Champions League Preview: Monaco v Manchester City

15 March 2017 - 18:59

After Leicester City stole the spotlight last night, the Champions League attention turns to Monaco and Manchester City tonight. The Premier League club come into this one with a 5-3 lead from the first leg, but their progression to the next round is by no means certain.

  • Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Man Utd, Saka starts
  • Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Arsenal, Rashford starts

  • Monaco lead the way in Ligue 1 this season and are known for the high amount of goals that they can produce. With various attacking threats, City's defenders will have to be at the top of their game to keep them out.

Pep Guardiola has spoken this week about how against teams such as Monaco, attack is the best form of defence. The Premier League club are constantly improving, and will almost certainly have to score at the Stade Louis II stadium if they are to progress, despite their first leg advantage.

If this first fixture between these two sides is anything to go by, this will be yet another fantastic night in the UEFA Champions League. Here at the two lineups for tonight's match:

Monaco: Subasic, Sidibe, Raggi, Jemerson, Mendy, Fabinho, Bakayoko, Lemar, Silva, Germain, Mbappe

Substitutes: De Sanctis, Diallo, Toure, Dirar, Moutinho, Cardona, Oliveira Moraes

Manchester City: Caballero, Sagna, Stones, Kolarov, Clichy, Fernandinho, Sterling, Silva, De Bruyne, Sane, Aguero

Substitutes: Bravo, Zabaleta, Navas, Delph, Otamendi, Toure, Iheanacho
