English goalkeeper David Stockdale could be parting ways with Brighton & Hove Albion when his contract concludes in the summer.
The former Fulham man played a key role in the Seagulls promotion to the top-flight, but despite this, he appears on his way out of the Amex stadium.
Stockdale's last-minute howler against Aston Villa on Sunday cost his side the Championship title, and he was quick to apologise for his mistake with the hint that he could be leaving.
"Gutted to go out like that. Big thank you to all my teammates and staff. @BenJamesRoberts for everything. Thank you to all the fans," a tweet read on his official twitter account.
Stockdale has been linked with a proposed move (The Sun) to Chelsea in recent weeks with the Premier League leaders looking to find a suitable replacement for backup shot-stopper Asmir Begovic.
The 31-year-old has played through the ups and downs for Brighton over the past couple of seasons, and he is now prepared to switch to a bigger challenge elsewhere.
Stockdale has appeared in a total of 140 appearances for the east Sussex club, who will return to the Premier League after a 34-year wait.
