  • Gabriel Magalhaes to sign new Arsenal deal

  • In the Derby game, Andy Todd grabbed a late equaliser after Mwaruwari and new boy Utaka had cancelled out Derby's opener through Matthew Oakley.

Everton had the perfect start and David Moyes will be delighted with their performance as Osman and Anichebe both scored, before Sibierski grabbed a late goal for Wigan.

Elsewhere, an impressive 2nd half performance meant 3 points for Blackburn who beat Middlesbrough 2-1. Stewart Downing had given Middlesbrough the lead; but new striker Roque Santa Cruz had only been on the field a matter of minutes before he levelled with his first Blackburn goal. Matt Derbyshire left it late to poach three points.
