There has been a massive improvement in Hull City's performances since manager Marco Silva took charge, but they ultimately proved not enough, when the club were relegated from the Premier League on Sunday. Speaking after the game, Silva refused to comment on his future with the club.
Speaking in his post match interview, Silva said that he would not comment on his future with the club, but he will sit down with Hull City bosses in the coming days to discuss it. If he is to stay, Silva says “The club needs to understand what they need to do differently in the future. For me, it’s easy what the club needs to do differently."
Before the appointment of Silva, Hull City looked doomed in the Premier League. Although they were still relegated, they battled against the drop strongly, seeing an upturn of both performances and results, with many believing that they would stay up.
With his contract with The Tigers expiring in the summer, there are a number of Premier League clubs who may attempt to steal him from the KCom Stadium. Although they currently have managers in place, West Ham United, Leicester City, Southampton and Watford are all said to be monitoring available managers, who could potentially see them improve next season.
