West Ham interested in Chelsea attacker

West Ham United are interested in Chelsea attacker Bertrand Traore. The Burkina Faso international impressed whilst on loan at Ajax last season and The Irons now want to give him his chance in the Premier League.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • Traore produced some fine form for Ajax last season and helped guide them to the Europa League final, where they missed out to Manchester United. During his 43 appearances for the Dutch club, he was able to contribute 14 goals.

Chelsea are thought to have high hopes for Traore, but with such quality at the club, he may find it difficult to get regular football in the near future. After playing regularly last season, the 21-year-old may feel that he has to leave Stamford Bridge to assure that he is playing again.

Traore is said to be valued at around £17 million by Chelsea at the moment. The Mirror reports that if Chelsea are unwilling to sell their promising attacker, West Ham would enquire about a season-long loan move.

One problem that may arise for West Ham is that Everton are also said to be interested in Traore, which Chelsea could use to their advantage in any possible deal for striker Romelu Lukaku.
