German champions Bayern Munich have wrapped up an agreement to sign former Arsenal attacker Serge Gnabry on a free transfer.
The 21-year-old was released from his Werder Bremen contract last week after he triggered a clause on his contract signed last year.
Hoffenheim, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig were deemed as potential options for Gnabry, but the Germany international has officially inked a three-year deal with Bayern.
"It is a great honour to be part of FC Bayern. Before me lies an exciting time, which I am very much looking forward to," he told the club's official website.
Gnabry was initially tipped to join the Bavarian giants from Arsenal last summer, but he appears to negotiate an agreement which has seen him join Bayern in 12 months' time.
The former Gunners forward notched 11 goals in 27 appearances for Werder last term following an extended spell out of the Arsenal first-team.
He made his international debut against San Marino earlier last season where he bagged an impressive hat-trick in the World Cup qualifier.
