Chelsea will reportedly block the potential exit of manager Antonio Conte by backing him with a huge &pound250m kitty in the transfer market.

  • The Italian head coach is understood to be unsettled at Stamford Bridge as he wants more control over the transfer activities as well as recruiting the backroom staff.

As a result, there has been speculation that he could end his association at Chelsea with Inter Milan prepared to lure him with a lucrative ten-year deal.

According to The Mirror, the Blues will express their desire to keep hold of the Italian by offering him a &pound250m kitty to improve the overall shape of the squad.

Conte is well aware of the Blues' lapse in concentration following their title triumph in 2015, and he is hoping to prevent such a situation by bringing fresh blood into the squad.

The manager is currently keen on a new central defender, right wing-back, left wing-back, midfielder and a striker as he looks to build a squad of his own capable of retaining the English title.
