Campo close to Bolton deal

12 February 2008 - 14:17

Ivan Campo has revealed that he is close to signing a new deal with Bolton. The Spanish midfielder is happy in the Premiership and admitted the English league still excites him.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • "I have had a meeting and I am waiting for a second," Campo told the Manchester Evening News. "I am going to listen to Bolton in respect for everything they've given me.

"If I like the project and the trainer, I will stay. I want to continue playing for two or three years more at the top level, but we will see where.

"I came to England six years ago and it's English football that excites me, not Spanish."
