Jack Wilshere to leave Arsenal in January?

11 October 2017 - 12:49

England international Jack Wilshere could reportedly push for a winter exit from Arsenal in order to better his chances of making the Three Lions' World Cup squad.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • The 25-year-old was linked with a potential exit during the summer, but none of his suitors came close to matching his £20m asking price.

Wilshere has since participated in the Gunners' League Cup and Europa League games but he has yet to earn any playing time in the Premier League.

According to The Times, the playmaker is seriously considering an exit from the Emirates in order to boost his prospects of reclaiming a national team spot.

Wilshere has not featured for the Three Lions since their Euro 2016 exit at the hands of Iceland, but Southgate is apparently open to a recall if he gets a regular run of games.

As per The Times, as many as 22 clubs were keen on his services in the summer, and they could retain their interest, should Wilshere make his decision clear to leave the Emirates.
