Emre Can set for Liverpool exit; headed to Juventus?

German midfielder Emre Can has stalled on putting pen to paper on a brand new contract with Liverpool amidst interest from Italian champions Juventus. The Liverpool player, who has a close relationship with manager Jurgen Klopp, has been offered a brand new three year deal.

  • The 23-year-old has just 18 months remaining on his contract at Liverpool and the club are desperate to tie the player down to a fresh contract with interest for Emre Can from some of Europe's biggest clubs unsettling the player.

    Emre Can has spoken with the press regarding interest from Juventus.

    "It's always an honour to receive an offer from such a renowned club, but currently I am only focused on the season with Liverpool,” Can told German newspaper Kicker. “My agent takes care of the rest."

    "You never know what will happen. And I don't know what Jurgen Klopp plans."

    Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund will also be monitoring Emre Can's contract situation very closely.
