Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw will reportedly turn down advances from Fenerbahce in January in order to fight for his Red Devils future.

  • A recent report from Fanatik suggested that the Istanbul outfit could pursue a temporary deal for the Englishman, who is desperate for regular football to claim a spot in the Three Lions' World Cup squad.

However, according to The Mail, the former Southampton graduate has no intention of leaving Old Trafford midway through the campaign, and will instead fight for his position in the second half of the season.

Shaw has had a tough time in Jose Mourinho's second season in charge, and he has managed just two appearances in the League Cup.

The likes of Ashley Young, Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian have been preferred ahead of Shaw in the left-back spot, and Mourinho has previously urged the 22-year-old to work harder in training to earn some valuable gametime.

Shaw's career at United has been hampered by multiple injuries, and he has notched just 49 appearances since his arrival from Southampton in June 2014.
