Belgian midfielder Mousa Dembele is to open talks with Tottenham club representatives regarding a new contract with the North London club. Dembele has had an impressive campaign so far, helping Spurs up to 3rd in the Premier League and a last 16 effort in the Champions League.
Dembele will reportedly double his salary from £50,000 per week by more than double to £105,000 and the 30-year-old looks set to approve and sign off a new deal with Spurs instead of a move abroad. According to reports from Spain, Barcelona and Valencia were amongst the teams chasing the impressive Dembele's signature.
The 30-year-old will reportedly sign a new three-year deal with Spurs, who will move into a brand new stadium next season and are amongst the favourites to win the FA Cup this campaign. Spurs have been busy discussing new deals with many of their top players, with Son Heung-min and Harry Kane amongst those set to benefit from new contracts before the end of the 2017-18 season.
