Pienaar nears Everton move

Everton look set to complete the signing of South African midfielder Steven Pienaar from Borussia Dortmund. The player has impressed on loan this season.

"Steven Pienaar wants to stay at Everton" said Borussia chief Michael Zorc. "There are clear signals that the club will take up their option to buy him."



Everton are expected to be willing to pay up to £4 million to land the international midfielder, but Dortmund are looking for closer to £6 million.
