Justin Kluivert set for Roma switch

10 June 2018 - 16:05

Ajax and Dutch international starlet Justin Kluivert is to join AS Roma for the upcoming Serie A season. The highly rated youngster has been monitored by many of the top European sides, but looks set to make a move to Italy with the Roman club in the hope of enjoying regular first team football.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Kluivert will seal a 16.8 million euro move, signing a five year contract for AS Roma, in favour of a move to Spain. It is understood that both Barcelona and Real Madrid were considering a transfer swoop for the winger.

Kluivert has also decided to move to Italy against the wishes of his father, Dutch legendary striker Patrick Kluivert, who recommended that Justin stay at Ajax Amsterdam or move to a different league than Italy.

Kluivert will earn a reported 80,000 euros per week in the move to Serie A and will add to the Roman side's impressive array of attacking options, that boasts the likes of Edin Dzeko.
