Alvaro Morata to quit Chelsea?

Alvaro Morata to quit Chelsea?

29 June 2018 - 06:45

Alvaro Morata is reportedly eyeing a fresh challenge away from Chelsea, according to the Daily Mirror.

  • Having played only one season at the former Premier League champions, the ex-Real Madrid player is set to tell the club's hierarchy of his intention to move.

Chelsea will reportedly discuss the player's future over the next one week. Chelsea's asking price for the player will be between £65m and £70m. This will enable them recover the £60m they spent on his transfer from Real Madrid in 2017.

It will probably be difficult to get a club that will pay such a huge amount for Morata because he failed to impress on a regular for the Blues last season. He only scored 11 goals in 31 league appearances last season.

With this uncertainty over his ability to perform regularly, it will be very difficult to get a club that will sign him without thinking twice. No preferred destination have been mentioned for Morata, but it will probably be one of the money bag teams that will be able to get his services for next season.
