Newcastle United are reportedly maintaining their interest in signing Andros Townsend from Crystal Palace this summer.
The 26-year-old was a regular starter for the Eagles last term and he played a key role in their quest to beat the Premier League drop.
Despite this, his future remains uncertain during the current transfer window with the Magpies said to be keen on re-acquiring his services from the Eagles.
According to The Sun, the Tynesiders are prepared to pay a sum of around £18m for the attacker, £5m more than what Palace paid for his signature two years ago.
It is added that most of the package is likely to be recouped by Matt Ritchie's exit with Stoke City willing to pay a £15m fee for the Scotland international.
Newcastle United have so far signed Martin Dubravka on a permanent deal after his success during a short-term loan whilst Ki Sung-yueng has joined on a free from Swansea City.
