26 July 2018 - 07:37

Manchester United have contacted Leicester City over the possibility of signing defender Harry Maguire, according to Mirror Football.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Maguire has been linked with a £65m move to Manchester United after just a season with The Foxes.

United have been in the market for a central defender and have identified the World Cup star as the perfect man.

According to the Daily Mail, the former Hull City player wants a move to Old Trafford.

Leicester City are looking to keep him by increasing his wages but the lure of playing for one of the best clubs in England may be too hard to resist.

After a great performance at the World Cup in Russia, this is absolutely the right time to progress his career to the highest level.

Playing for United will enable Maguire play in the UEFA Champions League and battle for the Premier League in the coming 2018/2019 season.

The 25-year-old is currently on a break after his exploits with England in Russia.
