Hammers in for Ben Arfa?

West Ham United eyeing move for ex-Newcastle United ace

26 July 2018 - 14:29

West Ham United are reportedly weighing up a move to sign former Newcastle United attacker Hatem Ben Arfa, who is available on a free transfer.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • The 31-year-old is presently out-of-contract after being released by Paris Saint-Germain for whom he failed to make a single appearance last season.

According to Foot365, the Hammers are keen to continue with their transfer business for the summer and they are now lining up a contract offer for the former Marseille graduate.

Ben Arfa has gone out of the radar over the past few years but he has previously shown his ability to turn the complexion of the game almost single handedly with ex-club Nice.

He has previously plyed his trade in the Premier League with both Newcastle United and Hull City (on loan), contributing 13 goals in 84 top-flight appearances.

West Ham United have made seven signings during the ongoing transfer window with the most-recent being the record capture of Felipe Anderson from Lazio.
