Manchester United reveal January transfer plans to Jose Mourinho

Mourinho could spend on new signings this winter

Manchester United reveal January transfer plans to Jose Mourinho

25 August 2018 - 23:20

Manchester United have supposedly told Jose Mourinho that they are willing to spend when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The Portuguese was largely left frustrated during the final month of the English transfer window after the club failed to make a single signing of notable worth.

Since then, the 55-year-old has regularly highlighted that the team may have a tough ride ahead but The Sun reports that the board could back him with transfer funds in January.

Nevertheless, there are only willing to pursue players available at the right price whilst Mourinho may not be able to recruit experienced personnel, who do not hold a good resale value for the future.

United made three signings during the summer but out of those, only Fred has extensively featured since the start of the campaign. Diogo Dalot has just returned to training following a knee surgery whilst Lee Grant has been brought in to add depth in the goalkeeping department.
