Belgium international Mousa Dembele will reportedly pursue a move to the Chinese Super League when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
Dembele has featured in all four of the club's Premier League games this campaign but his future still remains in doubt with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
According to The Sun, Beijing Guoan are confident of striking a deal with Spurs for the midfielder in January with 31-year-old having turned down the prospect of a new contract.
Guoan are said to have first established an interest in Dembele in February 2018 but back then, Spurs were not keen on a sale with the Belgian being a key part of their first-team plans.
Dembele's importance has not changed heading into another league campaign but Mauricio Pochettino is expected to sanction his sale, should a contract breakthrough not be found by the start of 2019.
