Manchester United receive double fitness boost for Young Boys clash

19 September 2018 - 08:03

Manchester United have received a double fitness boost with both Luke Shaw and Diogo Dalot travelling with the squad for their Champions League opener against Young Boys.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • Shaw suffered a head injury during the recent international game between England and Spain and thereafter, United chose not to risk him for the Premier League outing at Watford last weekend.

However, The Manchester Evening News now confirms that Shaw has indeed taken his position with the travelling party and he should reclaim his left-back position against the Swiss heavyweights.

Aside from Shaw, Dalot has also returned to the fray after playing a couple of reserve games following his knee surgery earlier in the year and he may make his debut at right-back with Antonio Valencia left out of the visiting squad.

Valencia has struggled with his fair share of injury concerns of late and he is understood to have skipper the game after getting to know of the prospect of playing in an artificial pitch in Swiss capital.
