Former Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis is keen on luring Aaron Ramsey to the Serie A once he takes his position with AC Milan later this year.
Gazidis confirmed last month that he has decided to part ways with the Gunners to take up a new project with the Rossoneri whom he is expected to join in late October.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Gazidis' first task with the Rossoneri could be to convince Ramsey to head to the San Siro with his Gunners contract due to expire at the end of the season.
At present, the Wales international has just nine months left on his existing deal with the north London side and he has recently hinted that talks have broken down despite an agreement earlier being reached.
Ramsey is free to either sign a pre-contract with an overseas club or push through a winter exit from the Emirates but the latter appears unlikely to happen with the Welshman committed to run down his contract.
