Malcom is reportedly unhappy with his proceedings at Barcelona and he is prepared to push through an exit at the turn of the year.
The Brazilian was on the cusp of joining AS Roma from Bordeaux last summer but the deal was hijacked at the final hurdle by Barca, who outbid the Serie A side with a £36.5m offer.
However, the 21-year-old has since managed just 25 minutes of league action with not a single competitive start and he appears to have now requested his representative to push through a January exit.
According to Calciomercato, the player's agent has already made contact with Inter Milan regarding a winter move but it remains to be seen whether the Nerazzurri will be making an approach.
Malcom had previously attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur at the turn of the year but he was not allowed to discuss terms after Bordeaux decided against a mid-season sale.
