Ashley Young is reportedly looking for a two-year contract with Manchester United which would keep him at Old Trafford until the age of 35.

  • The England international has been in-and-out of the Red Devils lineup this term but he has still managed to feature six times while being handed the captain's armband in recent games.

Despite this, his long-term future remains in question with his contract expiring in eight months' time and according to The Mirror, he has recently revealed his demands to the United hierarchy.

United have generally tended not to offer more than a year's extension to players aged above 30 but Young is said to be after a two-year deal which would take him through a decade with the club.

Jose Mourinho's side are currently placed 10th in the Premier League standings after bagging just four wins from their opening nine matches. They are already nine points behind league leaders Manchester City.
