Chile international Alexis Sanchez will reportedly stay put with Manchester United beyond the winter transfer window with Paris Saint-Germain cooling their interest in his services.
A recent report from The Times suggested that the attacker could seek a winter move to the French champions after having failed to settle with United over the past 10 months.
However, according to The Telegraph, Les Parisiens are unlikely to make an approach for Sanchez in the New Year and their focus is expected to lie on pursuing young players.
It is added that Sanchez's staggering £500,000-a-week wages may have played a role in the decision and United may now have to wait until next summer before sanctioning the attacker's sale.
Sanchez has played in his shadows since joining United from Arsenal in January and he has managed just four goals from 29 appearances for the club across all competitions.
He was only a late substitute during the recent cross-town derby against Manchester City where United succumbed to a 3-1 Premier League defeat at the Etihad Stadium.
