Serie A giants Juventus and Inter Milan could reportedly fight it out for the signature of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele when the transfer window reopens.
The Belgium international has declined to extend his contract with Spurs beyond 2019 and this has increased the speculation of him leaving the club in the near future.
According to Calciomercato, both Juventus and Inter are keeping an eye on his situation and they could potentially approach the midfielder with pre-contracts at the turn of the year.Â
Dembele, who is sidelined until 2019 with an ankle ligament injury, is understood to have the ambition of seeing out his contract with Spurs but it remains to be seen whether the club would entertain the prospect.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has been widely fancied to spend when the transfer window reopens and the focus could be on pursuing a new midfielder before mulling over a possible mid-season sale of the Belgian.
