Bayern Munich enter race to sign Alvaro Morata?

14 January 2019 - 11:26

Bayern Munich have reportedly joined the race to sign out-of-favour striker Alvaro Morata from Chelsea during the ongoing transfer window.

  • Chelsea suffer big injury blow ahead of Everton game
  • Enzo Fernandez refuses to rule out Chelsea exit
  • The Spaniard started the campaign as the first-choice striker in the Blues ranks but his struggles to contribute regularly to the scoresheet has meant that he has been dropped.

Barcelona, Sevilla and AC Milan have been touted as probable candidates to sign the Spaniard in recent weeks but according to The Mirror, Bayern are said to have thrown their name into the hat.

It is added that the German champions are only seeking a temporary move for the striker at the moment as they aim to catch leaders Borussia Dortmund in the title pursuit.

Chelsea are currently open to sanctioning any kind of deal for Morata, provided they can pursue a new marksman. The Blues are likely to demand a £3m fee on top of 50 percent of the striker's wages to permit a loan move this month.
