Liverpool striker to pursue La Liga challenge?

Spanish side Real Betis are reportedly leading the race to sign Daniel Sturridge on a Bosman once his contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season.

  • The England international has been with the Reds since 2013 and during this period, he has contributed 68 goals in over 150 appearances for the club in all competitions.

    However, his future with the club remains uncertain with his contract expiring at the end of the campaign and he has recently been tipped to move on from the Merseyside giants.

    According to France Football, Betis are keeping a close watch on the striker's proceedings at Anfield and they could offer him a contract when it becomes clear that the Reds are prepared to part ways with him.

    Sturridge has managed just two Premier League goals during the ongoing campaign and has been afforded only 13 minutes of league action since the turn of the year.

    He had previously caught the radar of Betis during last summer's transfer widnow.
