Ajax wonderkid Matthijs De Ligt has openly admitted that he would be interested in a move to Italian champions Juventus. The Dutch international is coveted by some of Europe's top clubs, including the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid, but comments attributed to the player this week suggest that he could instead head to Turin.

  • The 19-year-old Ajax captain has been a revelation since forcing his way in to Ajax's first-team squad, helping the club barge past Real Madrid in the last round of the Champions League.

DeLigt told reporters that he would one day consider a move to Juve in a conversation with Tuttosport: "[A move to Juventus] could happen, but there are others who are also interested,” he said.

“We’ll see at the right time. At the moment I’m fully focused on Ajax and my agent Raiola is taking care of the rest.

“Also, [Frenkie] de Jong hasn’t spoken to me about a move to Barcelona."

De Ligt is valued by Ajax at around 70 million euros and it is understood the Eredivisie side have so far rejected up to 10 different enquiries for the player.
