Higuain: unhappy at Chelsea already?

Gonzalo Higuain admits Chelsea struggles

31 March 2019 - 10:57

Chelsea's on-loan attacker Gonzalo Higuain has admitted that he is struggling to adapt to life in the Premier League and has voiced his concerns to manager Mauricio Sarri already. Higuain, who is currently with the Blues from Juventus on a temporary basis, has yet to set the league alight with his renowned goalscoring ability.

  • Despite scoring three goals in seven games since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, Higuain has cut a lonely looking figure at Chelsea and could be set for a return back to Italy at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old called time on his international career last week.

Sarri admitted that Higuain is struggling in England, telling reporters: "He said to me that it's difficult, because the physical impact of the defenders here is really very strong. The referees here are really very different than in Italy, and so it's another football for him, especially for a striker and a goalkeeper, it's really very different.

"I think that he needs time, but we have no time. So we need him at his top level in the last two months."
