After Real Madrid were linked with a move for Ajax striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, the Dutchman admitted he was flattered by the interest and would consider a move - despite being happy at Ajax.
"Of course, it is great to hear that a club with so much history is watching me. What I like most about them is that they are a team of champions," he told AS.
"But look, the reality is that these are only rumours, just like the talk of other teams looking at me. I have to wait as I cannot live like this.
"We shall see what happens. For the time being I have only heard rumours.
"Everything will depend on any offers I receive and what is best for me and what is best for Ajax. I have a contract here until 2010.
"The offer of a new deal is also on the table and I will see about that when the summer comes and make a decision."
