Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is staying quiet in an effort to make sure his side and himself focuses on Premiership survival this year. Fulham sit second from bottom in the table and face a tough battle with fellow strugglers Newcastle at St. James' Park on Saturday.
"I realised it wasnât going to be an easy job, but when youâre invited to become a member of a very elite clan of people, Premier League football managers, you know what you are taking on,â Hodgson said. âIf you think youâre not the kind of person who can deal with the pressure, then you shouldnât be here in the first place.â
âWe still believe that it can be done. Itâs so easy to say that but if a team is going to survive, it is by proving that it is good enough to survive by producing good performances and winning games.â
