England international Marcus Rashford is reportedly delaying negotiations regarding a new long-term contract with Manchester United.

  • Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Sheffield United, Amad starts
  • Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Chelsea, Jorginho starts

  • The 21-year-old experienced another good season with United with 13 goals and nine assists, but his form was disappointing during the final months of the campaign.

Still, the United board are said to value him highly due to his progress in the past few seasons and they are keen to commit him to a fresh contract with a significant wage hike.

According to The Sun, United have already shown their intent to extend Rashford's stay but the striker is presently reluctant to extend his contract beyond the summer of 2020.

United still have the option of prolonging his stay with a 12-month extension clause and Rashford is prepared to assess the club's ambition in the transfer market this summer before making a decision.

The Red Devils are expected to make multiple changes during this summer's transfer window and reports indicate that the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez could head through the exit door as part of the rebuild.
