Chelsea to sanction the sale of Eden Hazard?

21 May 2019 - 18:27

Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly open to the potential sale of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid during this summer's transfer window.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip

  • The Belgium international has flirted with the prospect of joining the Madrid giants in the past year and it appears that his dream could become a reality with his Blues contract expiring in 13 months' time.

According to The Mail, the Blues could be prepared to sanction the attacker's sale during the summer even if they are unable to overcome the two-window transfer ban sanctioned by FIFA earlier in the year.

The same publication claims that the Belgian's potential departure would not only boost the club's finances for future signings but also keep them in good stead with the Financial Fair Play.

Chelsea are said to demand a sum in the region of £87m for Hazard but Los Blancos are optimistic of doing business for the 28-year-old at a much lesser price this summer.
