Sheffield United are plotting a move for Brentford's in form striker Neal Maupay this summer. The newly promoted Premier League side are set to make a first offer for the forward in the region of £14 million.
Maupay helped himself to 28 goals during last season's impressive Brentford season, where the club narrowly missed out on play-off positions. Maupay was certainly one of the stars of that campaign and according to the Birmingham Mail, Sheff Utd are set to make an impressive opening offer for the striker.
The French forward, aged 22, has been with Brentford since 2017 after completing a move from French side St Etienne and has since gone on to appear in over 85 games for his current club. Maupay, who stands at 5 foot 7, is considered one of the best strikers in the Championship and at just 22 has plenty of time to develop his game.
Maupay has yet to play for France's full national side but has appeared for the French under-21 side. Maupay is also eligble to play for either France or Argentina, having qualified through his father's heritage.
