Manchester United have been offered the opportunity to secure the signature of Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax during the ongoing transfer window.
The Dutchman has been backed to pursue a fresh challenge away from Amsterdam this summer and he has been linked with the likes of Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.
Among those, the Bianconeri have given the greenlight to meet Ajax's £67m valuation for the centre-back and the negotiations have reached a hold due to the requirements of agent Mino Raiola.
Raiola is said to demand a commission of at least £9m for the transfer to go through, but the Bianconeri have so far shown no intention of agreeing to the sum.
According to football expert Ian McGarry, Raiola has now presented United with the chance of landing De Ligt's signature, considering they are looking to recruit a top-class centre-back this summer.
Still, it is suggested that the club may not accept the proposal, given their relationship with Raiola has deteriorated due to his recent attempts to push Paul Pogba towards an exit.
