Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has moved one step closer to a potential transfer to Manchester United, after the Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi confessed that the club may have to sell the Serbia international midfielder. The 24-year-old midfielder, who has been on the books at the Roman club since 2015, has played over 125 games for Lazio.

  • Man Utd have been linked with a move for the 6 foot 3 star for over 2 years and are now edging closer to a transfer deal, with club manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly ready to pay £45 million to wrap up a move.

Milinković-Savić is a popular in Serie A, famous for his ability to defend and also get forward as an attacking midfielder and it is this versatility that has seen Man Utd express interest.

The future of a transfer weighs heavily on the outcome of a move away from United for Paul Pogba, with both Juventus and Real Madrid chasing the French World Cup winning player. Pogba has informed his agent that he would like to transfer elsewhere, and Milinkovic-Savic is seen by United as the only available replacement for Pogba.
