Fernandes to Spurs?

Bruno Fernandes agrees personal terms with Premier League side

Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes is understood to have agreed personal terms with Tottenham Hotspur, who have jumped ahead of Manchester United in the race to secure his services.

  • Chelsea urged to sign Man City star on free transfer
  • Chelsea squad want Xabi Alonso as manager
  • The Portugal international has been fancied to join the Red Devils for most of the summer but the club have failed to find the breakthrough in terms of the transfer fee.

Amidst this, A Bola claims that Spurs have gone on to agree personal terms similarly to United and they are now leading the hunt to pursue the 24-year-old, who contributed 32 goals for Sporting last term.

The same publication adds that the north London giants are yet to finalise the transfer fee with Sporting, though they could do the same in a short while with Christian Eriksen fancied to head through the exit door.

Eriksen has been surprisingly linked with a move to the Red Devils before the transfer deadline and his sale should provide Spurs with the funds to meet Sporting's £64m price tag for Fernandes.
