Alexis Sanchez is reportedly open to the prospect of leaving Manchester United before the close of the European transfer window.
The Chilean has struggled to make a meaningful impact in the past 19 months at the club where he has managed just five goals from 45 appearances.
As such, the 30-year-old has dropped down the pecking order for the wider attacking role and he seems prepared to make an exit before the transfer deadline across Europe's major leagues, The Times reports.
Sanchez is currently going through an individual training regime following his comeback from a hamstring concern and Solskjaer has indicated that he may need at least another three weeks to return to action.
Still, there are no assurances that he would be able to command a starting role with the Red Devils and it appears best for the attacker to pursue a fresh challenge elsewhere.
Sanchez's £450,000-a-week wages are currently proving a stumbling block for interested sides but reports suggest that United could be willing to pay a portion of the wages to the forward to sanction his exit.
