Manchester United are reportedly understood to hold no interest in signing Fernando Llorente on a free transfer unlike speculated in the Italian media.
A recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that the Red Devils had offered a two-year contract to Llorente with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seeking to find a replacement for the departed Romelu Lukaku.
However, The Mail has now dismissed the gossip by stating that the Red Devils hold no interest in securing a Bosman agreement with the former Tottenham Hotspur man.
Llorente was released by Spurs following the expiry of his contract last month and he has since been linked heavily with a return to the Serie A with Lazio and Napoli weighing up contract offers.
In between this, Spurs are understood to have looked at the possibility of re-signing the marksman but the approach has been rebuffed with the Spaniard reluctant to take a paycut on his previous wage package at the club.
