25 March 2008 - 23:27

Everton are believed to have been rebuffed in their attempts to sign young Belgian prospect Marouane Fellaini from his club Standard Liege. The attacking midfielder is considered one of the brightest talents in his homeland.

  • Man Utd handed boost in signing West Ham star?
  • Barcelona have genuine interest in Chelsea forward
  • "Everton have made an unofficial bid but we turned it down," Liege director Luciano D'Onofrio is quoted as saying in The Sun.

"Bayern Munich and Spurs are also interested."

It is believed that Tottenham and Everton are both willing to pay up to £4.5 million to land the midfielder.
