The representative of Douglas Costa has confirmed that Manchester United have failed with multiple attempts to acquire the attacker's signature from Juventus.
The Brazilian has been a long-term target for the Red Devils and they had come up with a transfer proposal during the summer which was snubbed by the Bianconeri.
Speaking to The Mail, agent Giovanni Branchini revealed that United have been on the pursuit of Costa for a lengthy period of time but they have not been able to convince the Bianconeri into the player's sale.
"Premier League is a beautiful championship but for now United have failed in all their attempts to convince Juventus to sell him. The player remained in Turin and is a champion," he said.
Costa had an injury-plagued 2018/2019 season with the Bianconeri and he was restricted to just 17 appearances in the Serie A. He has started the current season unscathed and bagged two assists in the recent 4-3 win over Napoli.
