French midfielder Paul Pogba is reportedly fed up at Manchester United and wants to pursue a fresh challenge when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The 26-year-old recently made a comeback from an ankle injury against Rochdale in the League Cup third round but his performance was far from impressive and he was guilty of missing a clear-cut chance on goal.
According to The Sun, the midfielder is reportedly frustrated with his stay with the Red Devils after he was snubbed for the captaincy during the recent Cup tie against Rochdale.
With Ashley Young and David de Gea rested, Pogba had anticipated the captain's armband but instead, Solskjaer opted to hand the leadership to Axel Tuanzebe, who has yet to establish himself with the club.
Pogba has less than two years remaining on his current deal but the club can extend his stay further by another 12 months through a clause available on his contract.
Real Madrid were heavily touted to pursue Pogba during the summer transfer window and it appears that the Frenchman will push for a move to the Bernabeu at the turn of the year.
